BasePower has expanded its team following the award of multiple new energy projects across the UK.
The company now has more than 40 generation and micro-grid projects in development, construction, or operation nationwide, supporting growing demand for on-site energy solutions across the real estate, data centre, and industrial sectors.
To support this growth BasePower welcomes Andrew Morris and Tom Sharp to the business. Both will play key roles in project design, grid and utilities strategy, and construction activities for clients across a wide range of developments.
Andrew Morris brings extensive experience in electrical infrastructure delivery including grid connections, permitting, and temporary power generation projects. His previous work includes the London 2012 Olympics and Formula E, as well as renewable EV charging hub developments at retail parks.
Tom Sharp joins BasePower from renewable energy consultancy, having previously worked at Syzygy Consulting on solar PV and battery energy storage system projects across the UK and Europe. He holds an MSc in Physical Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge.
Co-founder and Projects Director Robin Hardy said:
“We are delighted to welcome Andy and Tom to the BasePower team at such an exciting period of growth for the business, with more appointments to follow soon. Andy and Tom’s combined experience and technical expertise further strengthen our ability to support clients with upgradeable energy and utilities solutions in the current environment of severe grid and capacity constraints and rapidly-evolving occupier requirements.”
